We are BSA Troop 842 in Coppell, Texas
chartered by the First United Methodist Church in Coppell.

We meet every Tuesday evening at 7:00 pm at 420 S. Heartz Road at the
Ministry Center of the FUMC in Coppell.

Due to so many families being out of town for the holiday, the regular troop meeting for July 5 is cancelled.

Group Dynamix Lock-In

We have met the minimum, and the cap is set at a registration of 35 scouts/friends of scouts ages 11-18.

Location: Group Dynamix,1100 Venture Ct #120, Carrollton, TX 75006
July 23, 9pm-7am

Event Details:

Our summer activity will be an overnight lock-in at the Group Dynamix facility in Carrolton. Everyone will need to wear close-toed shoes to participate in the activities. Pizza will be served midnight to keep the party fueled until the morning. Deadline to register is June 21. We have to pay our deposit and need a firm number at that time.

Activities include:

- High Ropes Course
- Zip Lines
- Coconut climbing trees (3 difficulty levels)
- Blacklight Dodge Ball
- Archery Tag
- Gaga Ball and 9 Square
- Ping Pong, Foosball
- Giant jumping pillow
- Huge Teen Friendly Inflatables

Citizenship in Society

location is TBD. The class will be limited to Life Scouts ONLY at this time.

Yearly PLC Planning Meeting

All PLC need to attend the planning meeting for the upcoming year. We will hold it at Pinstack. Please bring money for games and additional activities. Pizza and drinks will be provided.

Service Hour Opportunity - Camden McGregor Eagle Project Shelf Building

Coppell 4th of July Parade

Troop 842 will participate in the Coppell 4th of July Parade on Monday, July 4 at 9am. Please sign up by June 27 if you can attend. The parade begins at the intersection of Samuel and Sandy Lake. The current plan is to meet at 7:30am, decorate the truck, get the BSA Troop flag and be ready for the parade to begin at 9am. This is the truck we will borrow and ride in during the parade.
